What Now?

I have just returned from a grueling school day (which
involved a miXture of laughing like a loon and crying
like a baby, mingling with my mates and avoiding
someone) and hopped online to find out what happened
in The X-Files last night.
OH MY GOD!
Millennium... well, I really don't have to say anything
else, do I?!!

I then nipped into the Yahoo! X-Files chatroom to
speak with fellow Philes, and got into the old
shipper-noromo debate (I swear they see me coming!)
as usual.  Someone who'd seen the ep made a comment:
"So what now?"

(I think it was Helen... sorry for quoting ya without
permission!!)

Anyway.  This obviously made us laugh, and a few
*obscene* remarks floated around.  But under that
is the question:
Where do we go from here??

Assuming CC finally lets this thing carry on now,
rather than pretending it never happend a la movie,
Shippers had better start rethinking our.. well,
everything!  I'm a member of a group called
"Shipper Enthusiasts For An MSR Now!" - so,
now what do we call ourselves?  "The Shippers
Who Got Their MSR Now!" ?!  I'm not complaining,
don't get me wrong!  I'm merely pointing out that we
now are kind of... well.  Without name.  No, that's
not true.  We're still shippers, and we'll still go on
analysing every touch, kiss, sweet word eXchanged.
Right?!  ::looks around in fear of desertion::  I mean...
we can now revel in the knowledge that WE'VE WON
- so there, Noromos!!!  I mean, what are they gonna do...
say Mulder/Scully is only going out with the other to shut
them up?!!

::please insert your preferred brand of hysterical
laughter here::

Shippers, we have to celebrate.

WE'RE WINNING!!!!

Whatever follows neXt, in twenty years time, when
we're all meeting up at a convention and reminiscing,
we can all be proud and tell new Philes that WE WERE
THERE.
Now we go forwards.  We find the neXt bit of the
relationship that we want to analyse (I can think of a
fun place to begin <g> ), and we obsess over that.
We continue to diss every Mulder!Babe that ever
eXisted (and stare evilly at every female Mulder and
Scully come into contact with.  Hey, *someone* has to
do the jealousy bit, even if Scully won't!!), wail every
time they disagree (which ain't very much anymore...
but ain't it *sweet* when they argue?!!  (Yes, Red...))
and sob with delight every time they share a GTM. 
Which wouldn't really be a *G* TM once they're
together, more like a.... a.... an Intimate-TM.  Right?
(Please agree with me...)  This is gonna be a BLAST.
Right?!
Shippers everywhere should be down on their knees
praying.  Everyone said it would ruin the show, but
as Mulder put it:

"The world didn't end."
It didn't.  Their being together doesn't destroy the
show, just makes it into more of what it already is -
an intimate, scary show.  The World Didn't End -
bear this in mind please, noromos!!!!

Now is the time to crack open the champagne.
